About Jiling

Hello! I’m Jiling. I’m an herbalist, nature mentor, yoga teacher, artist and adventurer, among much else! “Wild Creative Spirit” for short. I see clients on a sliding scale basis, sell hand-made wild-crafted/ organic herbal products and custom blends, write herbal articles, volunteer at clinics, and teach herbal, yoga, and nature-based classes around the USA, primarily in the northeast and southwest. I journeyed through the USA and SE Asia for eight years, studying traditional healing modalities and teaching different subjects. I apprenticed with 7song at the Northeast School of Botanical Medicine, interned at the Ithaca Free Clinic, studied at the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism, worked at the Teaching Drum Outdoor School, and taught with Two Coyotes Wilderness School, the Traditions in Western Herbalism conference, and other fun organizations. I'm currently pursuing my Master's of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental medicine (MSAOM) degree at Alhambra Medical University in Los Angeles, CA. This includes herbs, acupuncture, bodywork, and more. I'm here until summer 2019, so come visit!

I'm scouting for a small piece of land bordering public land, to start a small clinic, school, and homestead upon graduation in summer 2019. I'm currently holding New Mexico in my heart (either Silver City or Santa Fe areas), but am open to other ideas. Before or during "settling down," I may also engage in an academic residency, set sail for 1-2 years as a cruise-ship acupuncturist, and/ or pursue other continuing- education adventures. Stay tuned. ;)

Please note that
I started this blog in 2006. The older entries are more diary-like (soon to be selectively deleted), whereas the newer entries (since 2014) are more informational. Utilize the “search” box in the top left corner to find specifics. Note my handy "topic cloud" on the right, a constant work in progress. If you have questions or suggestions, please click on the “contact” button and send me a note; I would love to get to know you, too. Thanks for visiting!

Wishing you radiant thrival,
Jiling 林基玲
